I just did a strategy guide for Unreal Tournament 2004 yesterday; this guide covers all the game's weapons and vehicles, along with general gameplay tips, Onslaught tips and Deathmatch tips. This is just part 1 of the strategy guide; part 2 will cover my favorite UT2k4 mod: Frag.Ops , and should be done by Thursday.Anyway, go check out the strategy guide at http://articles.filefront.com/98

My review of Battlefield: Vietnam has been posted over at FileFront , go take a look at it or die. As per the usual, here's the snippet: A couple of years ago I stumbled onto a game called Battlefield 1942 at a LAN party. At first, I just wandered around the huge maps in awe of the amazing landscape, and how big the maps were. Then, as I got more people in the LAN to join me in a few rounds, the fun really picked up. We played BF1942 for about 8 straight hours, and had an absolute blast. T...

FileFront.com finally got around to posting my Painkiller review . More reviews are sure to follow, as I have at least 2 or 3 more submitted. Anyyyyhoo, here's a snippet from the review : If you’re looking for a deep shooter, with lots of strategic depth (like Deus Ex) or realism (like the Rainbow Six series), then you’ll definitely want to steer clear of Painkiller; this game is all about pulse-pounding action, and Painkiller has it in spades. From the moment you start this game up, until ...

Another one of my previews has been posted over at FileFront , this time it's on the Xbox version of Doom 3 . Here's a snippet: Another thing that’s quickly apparent in the Xbox version is that this game looks amazing for an Xbox game. It features a lot of the same graphical features of the PC, though, as you’d expect, it’s not nearly as pretty as the PC version. The levels aren’t quite as big, and the model and texture qualities aren’t quite as good; but still, for an Xbox game, it lo...

Another one of my previews has been posted over at FileFront , this time it covers the expansion pack to Call of Duty called Call of Duty: United Offensive . Here's a snippet: A year later, and it seems that Grey Matter Studios (developers of Return to Castle Wolfenstein and the rather violent Kingpin) wants to bring players back to the battlegrounds of Europe in an expansion pack for Call of Duty entitled Call of Duty: United Offensive. In UO, you’ll once again be a soldier in the 101...

Being that it's E3, I'm writing all sorts of articles on games over the course of this week for FileFront . This preview is on a game that, seemingly, came out of nowhere and looks mildly impressive. The game is Bet On Soldier , here's a snippet from the rather short preview: [...] you can choose from eight different types of soldier classes, and choose your weapons from an armory of over 40 different weapons. Games will consist of up to 32 players, consisting of more than 40 different...

I just finished a solid weekend filled with Painkiller, and beat it moments ago. Let me just say this: if you consider yourself a gamer, you're going to fucking love this game. Pure action from the moment you start it up, until the moment you make Lucifer wet his panties at the end. I'm going to write-up a review of the game over the next couple days for FileFront , so you'll have to wait for that for my full review, but here are some choice screenshots from my Painkiller Gallery . ...

I was one of the guys that gave into the game's hype and figured it was going to be the best thing since marshmellow peeps. I just figured the game was going to revolutionize FPS-gameplay. That was, of course, until I played the demos released by CryTek/Ubisoft. The Farcry demo(s) were so bad that they made me vow that I'd never play the game again. Ever. The demo was just so bug-ridden, sluggish (the graphics were FAR from optimized), the difficulty had obviously not been play-balanced at that ...

Alright, so my copy of Call of Duty finally arrived (I had been using a friend's copy and a keygen for the serial, so was unable to play online) last week, and, after a week of play, I think I've given the game a fair amount of gametime in order to review it properly. If you don't want to read my, sometimes needlessly, verbose review, just read this line: Call of Duty, whether it is played single-player or multiplayer, is one of the most amazing games to come along this century . Yes, it's ...

And, no, for once I'm not talking about the [many] joys of Darvocet or Vicodin but, rather, the game Painkiller . The demo, released earlier last week by Dreamcatcher, is downloadable all over the 'net (I, personally, downloaded it by using one of the torrents over at suprnova.org ). Now, you may be wondering, how did it stack up to the numerous other FPSs on the market right now? Well, to be honest, I think it's going to be one of those games where you either like it, or you hate it. It's f...

So, yeah, I started playing Call of Duty at about noon yesterday; and go to the point that I stopped playing at the last time I tried to play a few months ago (I didn't get that far, but I lost my save game shortly there-after, and got pissed off). Once I got to the level I quit on the last time I played through, I realized I should really attenda t least ONE of my classes for the day, so I went to Math. Once I got home, I played Call of Duty from about 5pm-midnight. Without stoppin so much as...
