History of E3 and More
Published on May 10, 2004 By mittens In Current Events
One of my new editorials has been posted over at FileFront today; this one is brief overview of E3, including the history of the event. Here's a snippet:

The Electronic Entertainment Expo, more commonly known simply as E3, is the single biggest event in the gaming industry. Companies come from all over the globe to showcase what their next games are going to be, and provide sneak-peeks and show-room floor demos to their latest and greatest games planned for the upcoming year. Oh, and let’s not forget the booth babes — those scantily clad models that dress up as your favorite video game characters and single-handedly make the gaming nerd drooling over hot model stereotype even more true. Anyhoo, in order to prepare for E3’s 10th Anniversary, I will guide you through a bit of E3 history, giving you an idea of what to expect for this year’s show (for you E3 virgins); be sure to check out my other E3 editorial which will detail my predictions of what’s going to be hot at this year’s show, along with predictions for what “big announcements” will be made by leading developers and publishers.
